- Communication Across the Curriculum "Distinguished Communicator" Awarded to students who take "communications intensive" courses, and create a portfolio showcasing proficiency in written, spoken, visual and technological communication
- Louisiana Service and Leadership Scholar Honors College program that addresses the problems of poverty and coastal erosion in the state of Louisiana. Students actively contribute to solutions through service-learning and collaboration with community leaders. Member of the inaugural class.
